Vice mayor and council presiding officer Michael V. Fariñas offered PHP500,000 to any person who could give information on the whereabouts of former Laoag City treasurer Elena V. Asuncion, the prime suspect in the missing PHP85 million case. He appealed to all Laoagueños around the world to help in locating the missing former treasurer. After his announcement, the city’s Agserbi 24/7 Facebook page posted a wanted poster featuring Ms. Asuncion along with the reward and the numbers to call for pertinent information.
