Half of the 24 villages of this town, separated by a long stretch of the Padsan River no longer need to travel more than an hour and pass through the neighboring San Nicolas and Laoag City to reach its municipal hall building now that the more than half a billion peso farm-to-market road was inaugurated on January 27, 2010 by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
