Currimao is inaugurated as a municipality with land from Paoay and Batac, by virtue of Executive Order Nos. 34 and 92 signed on 20 December 1920 by Governor-General Francis Burton Harrison. The new town is composed of the barrios of Currimao, Liwes, Gaang, Pias, Maglawi and Pangil. [Cadiz, A Pascua]
