Piddig, the country’s first and largest national convergence program for coffee host joined 19 other participants on value-added agriculture products workshop held in Taiwan. Exclusive for Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) members and South Asian countries, former Piddig mayor Engr. Eduardo “Eddie” Guillen, currently a consultant to the Piddig mayor, represented the Philippines in the 14-day workshop. Taiwan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic organized the workshop. Looking forward to a productive engagement with other participating countries, Mr. Guillen, prior to his departure, said he is very eager to learn and share whatever new knowledge and innovative strategies from the international workshop which focuses primarily on policy issues to assist ASEAN and South Asian countries in dealing with the development of value-added agricultural products.
