With the murder charges relating to the killing of former Marcos mayor Arsenio Agustin still being resolved, the police filed another murder charge against the same suspect—newly installed Marcos mayor Jessie Ermitanio. The charge accuses Mr. Ermitanio of killing a Marcos councilor candidate on November 11, 2015. Police Sr. Supt. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr., Ilocos Norte police director said a case of murder was filed before the Provincial Prosecutor’s Office. Mr. Ermitanio is accused of being the alleged mastermind in the killing of retired policeman, SPO1 Conrado Agtarap, 49, at Barangay Lydia in Marcos, Ilocos Norte.
