Running priest Rev. Father Robert Reyes from Malabon City pays a courtesy call on Gov. Imee Marcos on March 12 to reiterate his advocacy on saving trees and stop uprooting them in favor of a proposed 20-megawatt solar power farm in Paguludan-Salindeg village in Currimao town. In November 2014, the DENR granted a tree cutting permit for over 700 indigenous trees to make way for the project but talks are on going between the major proponent of the project and the Ilocos Norte government to bring it down by half or at least 300 trees.
