Dancers from Batac City, Ilocos Norte depict the origin of the empanada, one of the most famous gastronomic delights in Ilocos, during the first-ever “Tan-ok ni Ilocano Festival of Festivals” a showcase and competition of festival dances from the 21 municipalities and two cities of Ilocos Norte held November 12 in Laoag City. Batac bagged the first prize in the festival while the towns of Vintar and Badoc came in second and third place respectively.
