HERITAGE conservation advocates and supporters against the proposed conversion of the LCES into a mall received a boost after Department of Tourism Secretary Ace Durano and Department of Education Secretary Jesli Lapus came out with separate statements supporting the Provincial Government’s initiative to protect local heritage sites and structures. Recently, the National Historical Institute has certified that Laoag Central Elementary School is an authentic Gabaldon style school building.
