Pinili inaugurated as a municipality, by virtue of EO No. 92 s. 1919, signed by the Governor-General on Dec. 20, 1919; it is organized from Barangays Nagtrigoan, Buanga and part of Insukit, from Batac. First mayor is Juan Raña. [Cadiz]
