The consul general of the United States Embassy in Manila Russel Brown received a warm welcome from Ilocanos here as he visited the provincial capital. As a first-time visitor to Ilocos Norte, Mr. Brown said, “It’s wonderful to experience the hospitality of the Ilocanos” as he reiterated the relationships of the Ilocanos and Americans goes back more than a hundred years.
