Death at the city’s door. Laoag police chief P/Supt. Melvin Napiloy (second from right) and Dr. Imelda Tamayo of the City Health Office inspects the remains of Jerry Ponce, 54 years old, married of Barangay 10 Laoag City who was found dead near the southern approach of the Gilbert Bridge. Investigation and medical reports state that the cause of the death is asphyxia and that the victim was suffering from tuberculosis.
