Mary C. Ang, a nominee of the Laoag City government in the Search for Outstanding Volunteers is now a national finalist representing Region I. Besting other nominees from the Region, Ang passed the rigid evaluations from the regional evaluation team and the national team who just recently visited the city and re-interviewed Ang for the national level.

Some organizations she is engaged in are the Aglipay Institute, Fil-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, Hotel and Restaurant Association of Laoag City and Ilocos Norte (HARALIN), Holy Spirit Academy Alumni Association, Museo Ilocos Norte, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, St . Santiago Elementary School Foundation, Mother Butler Mission Guild, Laoag City Tourism and Social Concerns Council, Regional Tourism Industrial Board Foundation, Philippine Red Cross-Ilocos Norte, Federation of NGOs of Ilocos Norte, FEDENGO, Zonta Club of Ilocos Norte, Kabalikat Civicom and Sangbayan.
