The big sister province of Ilocos Norte is geared for trade and tourism exchanges and so do Ilocanos here in the province. If plans don’t miscarry, both Ilocos Norte and Cebu governments led by Governors Ma. Imelda “Imee” R. Marcos and Gwendolyn Garcia hope to have a direct flight from Cebu to Laoag City and vice versa to open up various new opportunities where both Ilocanos and Cebuanos can take advantage of. Recently, the Marcoses including Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Reps. Imelda R. Marcos and Rodolfo C. Fariñas went to Cebu along with Ilocos Norte mayors, some provincial board members and other local officials to witness how Cebu government means business.
