CURRIMAO, Ilocos Norte—Lorenzo Rey G. Ruiz, 58, of Dingras, Ilocos Norte and board of directors president of the Ilocos Norte Electric Cooperative was shot dead by a still unidentified gunman on September 4, 2009 as he was alighting from his service vehicle to attend a board meeting on the cooperative’s substation in this town.
Ruiz suffered multiple gunshot wounds on his head, neck and chest.
