The 15th Infantry is formally organized from elements of the ‘K’ and ‘M’ companies of the 121st Infantry, in Piddig; (some operations had actually been going on since Oct 18). Under Maj. Robert H. Arnold, the 15th Infantry wreaks havoc on the Japanese in Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and Abra. [Ancheta; Salazar et al]

32 men are massacred in Tangawan, Piddig by the notorious Emilio ‘Sagad’ Escobar, commanding officer of the ‘B’ Company of the 15th Infantry. There are at least 20 known public executions held by Sagad in Piddig alone. Among the victims is the former mayor, Mr. Aquino. [Rodriguez]
