The country’s first bonsai school is now host to endangered plant species including apprehended bonsai materials obtained illegally. In a new memorandum of agreement signed on Januray 29, the MMSU bonsai school in cooperation with the Ilocos Norte Bonsai Society (INBS) will now be in charge of protecting, preserving and safekeeping these confiscated plants to prevent them from dying while these are under the custody of the PNP pending resolution of a case filed against perpetrators in court.
