First Lady Mayor Elected

The municipality of San Nicolas has remained a “Valdez country” during the recent May 13 national and local elections as the wife and- husband tandem of Dr. Melanie Grace Valdez and Dr. Alfredo “Boying” Valdez Jr. emerged as the elected mayor and vice mayor, respectively. Mayor-elect Dr. Melanie Grace Valdez won with 10,132 votes as against ABC president Miguel Mike Hernando with 8,256 votes or a difference of 1,876 votes.

By electing the lady doctor, San Nicolas made history by electing its first-ever lady mayor in history.
