SN snatches 1st runner up honors in nat’l literacy awards search
The national literacy coordinating Council (NLCC) spearheaded by the Department of Education (DepEd) named the municipality of San Nicolas here in the province of Ilocos Norte as first runner-up in the search for national Literacy Award for the outstanding local government under the municipal category A.
San Nicolas’ entry entitled “Damili Literacy: Molding minds, molding lives, empowering the San Nicoleño” evolves on the Damili’s centuries-old tradition which showcased how the municipal government implemented its programs, projects and activities towards the
eradication of illiteracy in this town.
