Nueva Era – A welldisciplined and organized community is reflected by how well they dispose of their garbage. Do you agree? For villagers of Nueva Era town, the answer is yes. Five years ago, Nueva Era town became the first in Ilocos Norte to establish a sanitary landfill; other municipalities and cities here failed to comply amidst the passage of RA 9003 otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act. The landfill sits on a 5-hectare lot using indigenous materials available in the municipality.
