Two representatives from Shandong province, Peoples Republic of China, a sister province of Ilocos Norte, arrived in Ilocos Norte on November 15 to cement further economic cooperation the two provinces may agree on in the coming years. Yhi Zhaowan, deputy director general of the commerce ministry of Shandong government and his interpreter, Shi Qidong were welcomed by Ilocos Norte officials led by Gov. Ma. Imelda “Imee” R. Marcos and representatives of the Chinese Consulate office here.
