Pasuquin holds 37th Sunflower Festival described as one of the oldest beauty and artistry competition among the ‘third sex’ in Ilocos Norte if not in the country, as it even predated the Miss Gay Philippines. This event began in 1975 and with Ilocos Norte Gov. Imee Marcos throwing her full support, the festival became even more successful.
