Batac, Ilocos Norte-A 10-year old pupil of the Immaculate Conception Academy in this town won a bronze medal in the 2009 Primary Math Olympiad held in Tianjin, China.
Rafael Adriano Nalupta, son of Batac Vice Mayor Ronald Allan M. Nalupta and Nieves Nalupta, represented the Philipphines along with 45 other math wizards from the country in the annual math competition held August 9-14, 2009.
