THE INDIGINEOUS Peoples (IPs) from the remote town of Adams, Ilocos Norte descended from their mountainous dwellings to express their strong opposition to the proposed mining exploration of Benguet Mining Corporation in their 658- hectare ancestral domain. The 658 hectares is part of the 21,000 hectares application of Benguet Mining Corporation’s Financial and Technical Assistance Agreement (FTAA), covering the municipalities of Nueva Era, Solsona, Carasi, Vintar and Adams here in Ilocos Norte.
