Tinio catches up with the fleeing Spanish troops led by Maj. Mariano Arques on the mountain pass of Patapat in Pagudpud. The Spaniards are so tired and frustrated they surrender almost willingly. Company No. 70, composed of Ilocano and Visayan volunteers mandated to guard the pass and protect the Spaniards, also joins the revolution. [Ochosa] Subsequently, elections are held for municipal and provincial officials under the auspices of the Aguinaldo government
