More Ilocano students aspiring to become medical doctors are excited to study for free at the state-run Mariano Marcos State University (MMSU) starting this school year, 2017-2018. Through the years, the country is facing exodus of medical health practitioners such as doctors of various specialization due to high cost of medical education, overseas migration and “brain drain”, according to CHED.
