A provincial government security guard recently detailed at the Ilocos Norte Capitol building was arrested on July 11, 2016 in a drug buy-bust operation. The Provincial Anti- Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (PAIDSOTF) conducted the buy-bust operation. The guard was identified as Eddie Acoba, 54, married and resident of Bacarra, Ilocos Norte. According to Romeo Rumbaoa, chief of the provincial security guards, Mr. Acoba received a text message; left his post to meet someone at the east wing parking lot of the Capitol. It was there where he was arrested by the police.
