International Museum Day (IMD) 2012

The International Museum Day (IMD) is a worldwide event held annually by member countries of Internal Council of Museums (ICOM) to provide a reminder of the significant roles museums play in the preservation of natural and cultural heritage. This year’s IMD will be a two-day celebration to be held in the Lyceum of Aparri, Cagayan, on May 24 and 25, 2012. The theme for this year’s celebration is “Museums in a Changing World, New Challenges and New Inspirations.”
The activities of the IMD include general meeting of all members of the Northern Luzon Association of Museums (NLAM), museums & heritage tours, lectures, basic seminars, workshop and socialization hour.
