A police intelligence officer accused of masterminding the murder of Marcos town Mayor Rogelio Pambid in 2004 was released from the Ilocos Norte Provincial Jail on May 9 after his petition for bail was granted by the court. In an ordered dated May 6, Judge Benjamin Turgano, presiding judge of Branch 15 of the Regional Trial Court here, ordered the release of former police intelligence officer SPO4 Apolonio Medrano who was implicated in the mayor’s slay in October 2004.
