Built through the municipality’s savings and fund raising activities for this new building of the San Nicolas public market stands tall as it serves as a monument of government spending anchored on honesty, transparency and away from controversy (middle). Ilocos Norte Gov. Michael M. Keon and Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann (top) lead the ribbon cutting of the inaugural openning of the San Nicolas market built for five years without debt.
