Adams comes as a pleasant surprise for visitors who associated Ilocos Norte with warm and dry weather. Nestled on the foothills of the Grand Cordillera Central, this rustic municipality enjoys cool temperatures even during the hot summer months. Because verdant forests surround Adams, the air you breathe is crisp and clean. The popular Bulu river originated in Adams, much to the delight of avid kayakers and white water rafters. The challenging ride along the river as well as the spectacular views along the way will surely make you come back for more.

- Adams was once considered by Spanish missionaries as one of the most remote areas of northern Luzon.
- Adams is located among the tall mountains of the Grand Cordillera Central that reach the sea of the Babuyan Channel.
- The best way to get to Adams is to trek. The trail to this town in the northernmost tip of Ilocos Norte crosses streams and rivers. Crossings are made through suspension bridges, the longest one spanning an amazing 50 or so meters.
- One of the municipality’s little-known reassures is Bulu river. The small river originates in Adams, makes its way through the town proper, and gathers volume on its way out to Pagudpud. The river’s clear, cool water makes for wonderful swimming and white-water kayaking. The river’s 20-kilometer length has grade 3+ that reach to grade 4+.
- One of the cottage industries of Adams is soft broom making.
